On December 8, 2025, Corporal Shane Bryson of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office investigated and arrested Eddie Barnett, 26, of Mansfield, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Barnett, who is currently on parole for a prior offense involving a child, is being held on a no‑bond warrant. During the same investigation, Corporal Bryson also arrested Kristi Overton, 47, of Mansfield, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree. …
