Where are the biathlon broadcasts on TV soon? Now there is clarity.
From 2030, the World Cup and the Biathlon World Championships will not only be broadcast on SVT. The rights will then be shared with TV4 until 2033/2034.
SVT has owned the biathlon broadcasts. But soon they will share the rights with TV4. – It is what it is, says SVT expert Björn Ferry.
SVT has held the rights for ten years. From 2030, it will be partnered with TV4. The two television channels will jointly broadcast the World Cup and the Biathlon World Cup.
The TV houses are teaming up again for sports rights – broadcasting the World Cup and the Biathlon World Championships. “An excellent TV right,” says Johan Cederqvist, sports director at TV4, to Dagens Media.
Starting with the 2030 season, TV4 and SVT will share the broadcasting rights for biathlon.
