It has been more than 100 years since local wheat was grown in Värmland. But thanks to the tenacious efforts of Lillerudsgymnasiet, there has been a stable cultivation in Edsvalla for the past ten years. “This is probably the only field in the world,” says Anders Westlund, the high school’s principal and the one who pushed for Värmland wheat to take hold.
