Former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro has denied the allegations made by Prime Minister Donald Tusk in connection with the Zondacrypto investigation. He said the case was part of an operation aimed at "destroying the right wing" and announced he would file a criminal complaint.
According to the testimony released by the Prime Minister, Przemysław Kral allegedly paid Zbigniew Ziobro PLN 2 million to resolve his legal problems.
Donald Tusk lashed out at politicians who voted against the bill regulating the crypto-asset market. "You persist in this stubbornness because everything indicates that you are being held by the throat by very bad people. Mr. Chairman Kaczyński, you once despised such people and such attitudes," the Prime Minister said. He added that the PiS chairman had gone exceptionally far into the swamp.
"Based on what we know so far, what we are learning during the investigation, I have no doubt that voting against this bill [is] political suicide," said Donald Tusk.
