Tuscarawas County Ranks Near Top as Turkey Season Ends

COLUMBUS (WJER) (May 29, 2026)  – Ohio’s spring wild turkey season has wrapped up across most of the state, with Tuscarawas County hunters finishing strong. State wildlife officials report more than 15,700 birds checked statewide through May 24, with the 83 counties in the south zone—including Tuscarawas County—now officially closed for the season.
