Türkiye's gross external debt stock reached $539 billion in the second quarter of 2026, a 3.5% increase. Short-term debt amounted to $170.7 billion, while long-term debt reached $368.2 billion. The public sector borrowed $197.9 billion, the private sector $318 billion, and the Central Bank's liabilities decreased to $23.1 billion.
