Turkey, Somalia sign strategic fisheries agreement
The Turkish Armed Forces Pension Fund (OYAK) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Somalia’s Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy to centralize and regulate fishing activities in Somali waters, the Anka news agency reported on Wednesday.
An agreement has been signed between OYAK and the Somali Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy. This agreement will provide the Turkish fishing industry with access to Somali waters, which contain some of the world's richest fish reserves.
