Defense Minister Guido Crosetto received Saddam Haftar, the Chief of Staff of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Ground Forces based in Benghazi, in the east of the country. The ministry announced this in a post on X. The meeting, it says, “took place in a climate of constructive dialogue, underlining the strong historical bond that unites Italy and Libya, as well as the shared desire to jointly address strategic challenges of common interest”.
