Engelliweb announced today that access to at least 150 X accounts has been blocked. Some of these accounts, predominantly featuring users who shared posts about the funding crisis, the Narin Güran murder, and the Furkan Movement, have been made invisible from Turkey by X.
Bloomberg reported that X made nearly 500 accounts inaccessible in Turkey for a week, including those of journalists, economists and academics. Restrictions coincided with research on financial publications and a crisis that led the regulator to order the closure of 131 funds.
