An Istanbul court late on Saturday formally arrested a Turkish journalist over his social media posts on prosecutors investigating a mayor from Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), his lawyer said.
A court in Turkey ordered the arrest of journalist Furkan Karabej because he published on social networks the names of the prosecutors involved in the investigation against the mayor of the Esenyurt district in Istanbul, a politician from the main Turkish opposition party, the lawyer of the arrested journalist said today.
