Rickshaw driver spared jail after stealing £31,000 worth of wine and champagne from restaurants
Iuliu Kubola was given a suspended 20-month sentence after admitting theft of £31,000 worth of wine from three London restaurants and returning part of the stolen goods.
- Iuliu Kubola, 61, admitted to six burglaries at three premises in London, stealing wine and cash, and was sentenced to 20 months in custody suspended for two years.
 - Some wine bottles valued at approximately £6,687 were recovered, but significant loss and damage occurred at one restaurant where 73 bottles were stolen.
 - Kubola was seen on CCTV taking the bottles, putting them in a wheelie bin, and loading the bin into the back of his pedicab, and was found with various bottles of wine and liquor.
