France has changed the dates of the upcoming G7 summit to fit in with US President Donald Trump's schedule, a senior US official told AFP on Friday.
The G7 summit has been postponed by one day so that US President Donald Trump can celebrate his birthday, Politico reports. French President Emmanuel Macron, in turn, explained that the new date is the result of consultations with his G7 partners.
The dates of the G7 summit have changed as Trump is organizing a mixed martial arts fight at the White House on June 14 due to his birthday and would not be able to attend.
