Trump warns US will 'probably strike Iran' on Wednesday night, following recent attacks
Trump said the U.S. may strike again as oil prices rose more than 6% and Iran’s attacks on shipping threatened the fragile ceasefire.
- On Wednesday, President Donald Trump declared the U.S.-Iran ceasefire "over" at the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, warning of imminent additional strikes after Iran allegedly attacked commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

- Trump threatened to seize Kharg Island, which handles roughly 90 percent of Iran's oil exports, and target electric and desalination plants, asserting there was "not a thing" Tehran could do to prevent such actions.
- Brent crude prices spiked more than 6.5% to $75 per barrel on Wednesday, reflecting investor fears about potential disruptions to the vital Strait of Hormuz energy corridor amid the renewed hostilities.
- Despite calling negotiations a "waste of time," Trump authorized his team to continue talks, while Iran warned of "very dangerous consequences" and a "crushing response" if U.S. military operations resume.
