Trump to meet NATO secretary general as plan takes shape for Ukraine weapons sales
WASHINGTON, D.C., UNITED STATES, JUL 13 – The meeting aims to coordinate increased U.S. and NATO military aid to Ukraine amid Russian attacks, with $3.85 billion in drawdown authority available, officials said.
- NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will visit Washington D.C. on Monday July 14 and Tuesday July 15 to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
- The visit comes as Trump plans to make a statement on Ukraine's struggle against Russian air assaults and the possible transfer of U.S. weapons through NATO allies to Ukraine.
