- Polis requested aid after August fires in Rio Blanco County and the Lee Fire near Meeker burned over 137,000 acres, followed by severe October flooding in La Plata and Archuleta counties.
- More than 150,000 acres were burned and destroyed at least five homes and 14 outbuildings, while more than 60 miles of roads and structures were compromised and damage exceeded $27 million, the Colorado state release said.
- Polis vowed to appeal and urged reversal as he and the Colorado congressional delegation condemned Trump's denial as malicious and obscene on Sunday.
