The POLITICO poll found 26% of 2024 Trump voters want GOP candidates to break with him, as inflation, gas prices and the Iran war shape the race.

A new POLITICO poll finds that twenty-six percent of Trump’s own voters think Republican candidates should break with him to improve their chances, though about two-thirds of MAGA voters still want candidates to stay aligned. A separate Pew survey shows sixty-five percent disapprove of his handling of the Iran war.
