- Crowther guided survivors from the South Tower's 78th-floor sky lobby, making three trips to save as many people as he could before the building collapsed, according to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
- Trump also announced the Coast Guard will commission a new fast-response cutter named for Jeffrey Palazzo, an FDNY Rescue Squad 5 member and Coast Guard reservist killed at the World Trade Center.
- As the nation marks the 25th anniversary on Friday, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation aims to deliver 343 mortgage-free homes this year, honoring every firefighter who perished in the Twin Towers.
