LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, JUL 17 – More than 70% of detained undocumented immigrants in Los Angeles had no criminal convictions, prompting civil rights lawsuits over alleged racial profiling by federal officers.

Nearly 2,800 people have been detained in the Los Angeles area since immigration raids intensified in early June, federal officials said.
