Trump approval falls to 33%, lowest of his presidency, Reuters/Ipsos poll finds

An Economist and YouGov poll found President Donald Trump's approval rating among Republicans fell to 79%, the lowest level of his second term, while a Reuters and Ipsos survey showed just 33% of Americans overall approve of his performance.
Trump's popularity declined this year after he ordered strikes on Iran alongside Israel, with 80% of Americans believing involvement in the conflict "will go on for an extended period of time."
Approval among Republicans who do not identify with the MAGA movement fell in one week to 51%, while the share who "strongly approve" of Trump's performance dropped from 68% to 48%, a 20-point decline.
AFP Action executive director Nathan Nascimento warned that core Republican voters could stay home in November midterm elections. "This is a scary number," Nascimento said regarding potential voter turnout.
