For Burgenland, Governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) has already announced the introduction of a truck toll for state roads. "An even better approach would be a nationwide model with a truck toll for federal and state roads," he explained in the news magazine "News." The states would receive their share of the revenue. "This would significantly ease the burden on the states and help with the Stability Pact," Doskozil said.

The Burgenland SPÖ-Landeshauptmann sees this as potential for all of Austria.
