The World Judo Championships (WJC) for Adults will begin tomorrow, on the 13th of this month, in Budapest, Hungary. On the occasion of the tournament, the International Judo Federation (IJF) held its regular session. During the session, it was decided to retire Romanian businessman Marius Vizer, who has been president since 2007. However, it was decided to continue working with a new Executive Board for the next four years.

The Roman Federation of Judo delivered to him, on Wednesday, the congratulations of Marius Vizer, who was indeed the president of the International Profile Forum for the sixth term.

Tina Trstenjak, winner of the gold (2016) and silver (2021) Olympic medals, has become the first woman in judo history to be selected as the IJF Director of Judging. Our former judoka will also be a member of the 17-member IJF Executive Committee for the next four years.
