A tropical disturbance in the Gulf will bring scattered showers and storms to Southeast Texas and the Brazos Valley Friday and Saturday. Severe weather is not expected but frequent lightning, gusty winds, and small hail will be possible with the strongest storms. Otherwise, afternoon temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 90s where it is not raining or cloudy. Heat index values will peak in the 100 to 105 degree range on Saturday.
