Triple murder investigation launched after three people found dead at home
Police say the suspect knew all three victims and may have fled the country, while increased patrols continue in the area.
Bedfordshire Police launched a murder investigation after discovering the bodies of a woman and two children at a property in Carnoustie Drive, Great Denham, following concerns the family had not been seen for several days.
Police were called yesterday regarding the missing family and carried out enquiries before forcing entry into the home. Officers broke down the door to gain access to the property.
Investigators have identified a suspect who was known to all three victims, and police believe this individual has since left the country, eliminating immediate public risk.
Assistant Chief Constable John Murphy said, "This is a deeply distressing incident," and confirmed the force is "committing all necessary resources to establish exactly what has happened."
The Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit is leading the inquiry with increased patrols in Great Denham to reassure residents. Anyone with information on suspicious activity on Friday or Saturday should contact police via 101, quoting Operation Snowdrift.
