Former marketer, PhD, and teacher, these three women served as main and assistant referees in the Czech Republic-South Africa World Cup match. They became the second all-female refereeing team in World Cup history. On the 19th at Atlanta Stadium in the U.S., where the Czech Republic and South Africa faced off in Group A of the CONCACAF World Cup, three women wearing pink shirts stood side by side on the field before the match began.

For the first time in the history of the men's World Cup, a match was refereed by a trio of women. Young Czech referee Nikola Vrbová from Louny analyzed for Deník how the American referees handled the match between the Czech Republic and South Africa (1:1).
