The Trial Court of the First Judicial Circuit of San José ordered the immediate arrest and return to prison of former judge Luis Alberto Venegas Marín, current defender in the Gallo Tapado case and 17 more investigated persons in the Madre Patria case. In the latter case, an alleged criminal network dedicated to registration fraud and the legitimization of capital is investigated.
For their possible participation in the crimes of carrying firearms, possession of cartridges and shippers, of exclusive use of the armed forces and possession of improvised explosive devices were linked to proceedings by a Federal Judge.
