- Triano captained Canadian Olympic basketball teams in 1984 and 1988, then coached in the NBA; the 1990 women's hockey team won the first world championship, establishing credibility for women's ice hockey internationally.
- Littlechild, an 82-year-old from Maskwacis, Alta., is being inducted for a second time after co-founding the North American Indigenous Games in 1990 and advocating for global Indigenous rights.
- Marking the 70th anniversary, the Hall will also present Legacy awards to sports businessman Larry Tanenbaum, the Southern family of Spruce Meadows, the Canada Games Council, and Special Olympics Canada.
