Adel Gourini was sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment, a penalty much less severe than that required by the Public Prosecutor's Office, for the death of Zakaria in 2024 in Romans-sur-Isère.
After a week's hearing in the Valencian Court of Assizes, the Advocate General on Friday 18 September requested 25 years' imprisonment for the principal accused of the death of Zakaria. The verdict is expected in the evening.
