Trial for man accused of killing 5 in Winnipeg rooming house set to begin

On Feb. 17, 2026, a jury trial opens for Jamie Felix, accused of five counts of second-degree murder in a Winnipeg rooming house.

The trial is scheduled to run for four weeks, before Court of King's Bench Justice Alain Huberdeau, with a jury, according to court papers.
Two of the victims later died in hospital, and the fifth victim, hospitalized after the shooting, died last year.
