Côte d'Ivoire: Tidjane Thiam Remains President of the PCCI
The Ivorian courts ruled in the case of Valérie Yapo, a member of the political bureau of the PDCI, against the leadership of his party on Thursday, 22 May. While the party contested the election of Tidjane Thiam at his head in 2023, the latter's renunciation of his French nationality last January and his resignation followed by his quasi-immediate re-election at the head of the party at the beginning of May emptied the dossier of its substance.
