With a decree issued by the Minister of Transport, the agents of SNCF and RATP see their powers expanded. This is what this really changes.

From March 30, 2026, the approximately 4,000 security personnel of the Paris public transport system will be allowed to check luggage and people, confiscate dangerous objects or illegal goods, and refuse access to train stations and metro stations.
