Transgender Woman Sexually Assaulted, Beaten In Hate Crime Attacks: LAPD

A 61-year-old transgender woman, Sabrina de la Peña, was sexually assaulted and beaten multiple times at her convenience store in the Westlake District on April 28, 2025.
The incidents began on April 8 when a suspect flirted with de la Peña, became angry after rejection, and later returned with accomplices to commit hate crimes upon discovering her gender identity.
