A serious traffic accident occurred in the center of Belgrade when a tram derailed and crashed into a nearby building. There was extensive material damage and several people were injured. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
A tram on line 5 derailed this morning at the corner of Cara Dušana and Knićaninova Streets and hit a building on Dorćol. On that occasion, 15 people were injured and sent to health institutions.
Fifteen people were injured, two of them seriously, when a tram crashed into a building in Belgrade. Authorities have already launched an investigation, but it is not yet clear what caused the vehicle to derail. The injured are currently being treated in hospital.
