Trailblazers in Arts, Politics, Business, and Advocacy Inducted as Honorary Members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
WASHINGTON, D.C., JUL 9 – Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. honored eight Black women leaders from diverse fields, highlighting their trailblazing impact during a convention attended by over 20,000 members, officials said.
- During its 57th National Convention held in Washington, D.C. in July 2025, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. honored eight distinguished Black women by welcoming them as Honorary Members.
- The induction honors women who have excelled across politics, business, sports, entertainment, and advocacy, reflecting the Sorority's century-long commitment to leadership and service.
- The honorees include Olympic legend Jackie Joyner-Kersee, political strategist Donna Brazile, entrepreneur Janice Bryant Howroyd, artist Queen Latifah, actress Danielle Brooks, sports executive Swin Cash, business leader Fawn Weaver, and tech CEO Toni Townes-Whitley.
- Joyner-Kersee holds six Olympic medals with her foundation focusing on education and health equity, Brazile made history managing Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign, and Cash is a two-time Olympic gold medalist turned sports executive who founded "She's Got Time."
