An ultimatum issued by trade unions FNV and CNV to Schiphol and the three security companies active at the airport expires at noon today. The ultimatum was: make concrete commitments to improve security employees’ working conditions, or the security guards at the Netherlands’ largest airport will go on strike. Schiphol’s cleaning workers are also striking on Wednesday.
