On Monday, a tractor-trailer crashed into the South Broadway Bridge overpass on I-87 in South Nyack at 12:20 p.m., causing the vehicle to overturn and slide across the southbound lanes.
New York State Police ticketed truck driver Pernell Harris of York, South Carolina, for operating a vehicle exceeding the 13 feet, 6 inches maximum height limit; the tractor-trailer also struck a parked Toyota.
Dashcam video provided by AAA Carting shows the truck striking the overpass and tipping onto its side; Harris reported no injuries, but the Toyota's driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Cleanup crews closed two lanes of I-87 southbound to address the wreckage, with State Police reopening all lanes by 4 p.m. on Monday.
