WILLMAR — It was a strong Cardinal invitational for the host Willmar track and field team. Willmar’s boys led the field with 102 points at Hodapp Field, edging Detroit Lakes’ 96 and Rocori’s 93. Its girls finished as the runner-up with 103, trailing first-place Rocori’s 115. Alex Groen, James Groen and Owen Sportel led the way for the Cardinal boys.
