Tributes to 'Totally Irreplaceable' North Yorkshire Man Who Died After Crash
The 61-year-old died at the scene after being struck by a white Mercedes A-Class; North Yorkshire Police are seeking witnesses and CCTV footage.
Peter Hudson, 61, died on Sunday, June 7, after being struck by a white Mercedes A Class car outside the Nova Bar in Thirsk Market Place, with emergency services unable to save him at the scene.
The Market Place remained closed to traffic until 6 a.m. on Monday, June 8, as emergency services worked at the scene and safely recovered the vehicle involved in the collision.
His family stated they were "devastated by the loss of our amazing Pete," describing Hudson as "totally irreplaceable, kind, loving and hilarious." They added he "meant something to everyone, but absolutely everything to us."
The 46-year-old driver of the Mercedes from Darlington is assisting the investigation, while North Yorkshire Police appeal for witnesses with CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
Tributes continue to flood Facebook for the Thirsk resident as Police maintain their appeal for information to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
