Toronto police identify suspect wanted in stabbing of TTC worker
Police released images and a description of the suspect after the TTC worker was stabbed in an attack that left him with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
- On Friday, a TTC electrical worker was stabbed in an "unprovoked" attack near Yonge and Bloor Streets, suffering serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
- Toronto Police identified the suspect on Saturday as 36-year-old Anthony Christopher David McLaughlin, describing him as having a medium build with numerous tattoos on his face and arms.
- Investigators released images showing McLaughlin standing between five-foot-eight and five-foot-10, last seen wearing a grey T-shirt, blue vest, light grey pants, and brown leather shoes with mustard-coloured laces.
- TTC CEO Mandeep Lali condemned the attack as "completely unacceptable," confirming the worker is recovering at home while the organization provides full cooperation to the Toronto Police Service.
