Toronto-based armoured vehicle maker INKAS expands production

INKAS says three new facilities will more than double its North American production space to meet rising demand from law enforcement and defense customers.

  • On Tuesday, INKAS, a Canadian armoured vehicle manufacturer, announced it is investing tens of millions to double its North American production footprint by leasing three new facilities in Toronto, Charlotte, and Fort Pierce, Florida.
  • CEO David Khazanski stated the company transitioned from supplying law enforcement and banking to a broader defense profile, including vehicles designed to resist landmine blasts for NATO countries.
  • The expansion includes 42,000 sq ft in Toronto, 200,000 sq ft in Charlotte, and 31,000 sq ft in Fort Pierce, with Charlotte selected for its experienced armoured vehicle manufacturing workforce.
  • Expected to be fully operational by July 31, 2026, the new capacity will provide INKAS with greater flexibility to support growing demand for specialized vehicles and mission-ready defense solutions.
  • The company is also pitching aerial drones meant to neutralize attack drones like Iranian-made Shaheds, building on its history of supplying the market in Ukraine since 2022.
