Judge Says Chef Eric Adjepong Can't Be Alone with 7-Year-Old Daughter Amid Abuse Claims
A judge found evidence of abuse and barred the chef from unsupervised contact with his 7-year-old daughter for one year.
- On July 10, a Maryland judge granted a protective order barring Food Network host Eric Adjepong from unsupervised contact with his 7-year-old daughter, Lennox, through July 2027.
- Judge Maurice C. Frazier ruled there is a "preponderance of the evidence to believe" Adjepong physically abused the child, following a protective order petition filed May 1 by his ex-wife, Janell Davis-Mack.
- The Metropolitan Police Department closed its investigation without filing charges, and Adjepong stated he is "strictly complying with every facet of the order."
- Davis-Mack wrote that the order was granted because their daughter "was brave enough to speak up," while her attorney, Todd Mohink, stated the court "did the right thing to protect the best interests of the child."
- The protective order remains in effect through July 2027, and Adjepong cannot have unsupervised contact until he completes parenting classes and reunification therapy.
