UNITED STATES, JUL 11 – Massachusetts and Washington lead with the shortest average Days on Market at 26.4 and 27.6 respectively, reflecting highly competitive home sales in early 2025, data shows.
- In a breakdown of state markets, Redfin data reveal Massachusetts posted a 26.4-day DOM, followed by Washington at 27.6 days.
- Assessing sales volumes and DOM reveals that there’s little to no correlation between the two in smaller states, while DOM measures the average time from listing to accepted offer.
- Leading the list were Lancaster County, PA with a 10.2-day DOM and 1,953 homes sold, highlighting high market speed.
- Securing a home here, buyers in Monroe County need to outbid others and act quickly, or risk missing out.
- Last month, Realtor.com reported a median DOM of 53 days, five days longer than a year ago.
