Dozens of flights have been canceled due to problems with seat covers, reports Helsingin Sanomat. Seat covers that shrank during washing revealed a hidden safety risk in the washing method, reports Helsingin Sanomat. The covers have been washed with water for years, although it is not known for sure whether the fire protection of the seat fabric can withstand water washing.
