LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, AUG 4 – Tommy Robinson fled the UK after allegedly assaulting a 64-year-old man at a London train station; he was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after returning from Tenerife.
- Following notification he boarded a flight from Faro, British Transport Police arrested Tommy Robinson at Luton Airport shortly after 6.30pm on suspicion of GBH related to the July 28 assault at St Pancras station.
- By August 29, Tommy Robinson had checked in online and cleared security at Stansted Airport before leaving for Tenerife, despite a wanted alert.
- Viral footage at St Pancras station showed a motionless man on the concourse, Robinson walking around agitated, and he said, `He came at me bruv, you saw that, he came at me`.
- Following the arrest, Robinson was released on police bail until September 8, according to British Transport Police said on Tuesday.
- With a protest set for September 13, Robinson said he planned to organise a 'free speech' festival in London after his release.
