- Guitarist Tom Morello announced his first solo rock album, Everyone Gets Everything They Want, arriving Sept. 25 via Mom + Pop Music, featuring collaborations with Kneecap, Beartooth, Serj Tankian, and his son Roman Morello.
- On Tuesday, Morello released the single "Date Night," honoring World War II resistance fighters Truus Oversteegen, Freddie Oversteegen, and Hannie Schaft, who assassinated Nazi officers and helped Jewish children evade capture.
- Roman Morello shares writing credits on 5 songs and contributes guitar riffs, with Morello describing his 15-year-old son as a "guitar wiz" who has been startling audiences on tour for the past three years.
- Morello will also curate the one-day Power to the People Festival on Oct. 3 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, featuring performances from Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, and Serj Tankian.
- Reflecting decades of activism, the album confronts global political turmoil and immigrant rights, while Morello promotes social justice through the newly launched Mary Morello Memorial Project, honoring his late mother's legacy of "caring, service and action.
