A triple-century for Somerset’s Tom Abell was the highlight on a rain-affected final day of cricket’s County Championship.

Division One's runners-up had Surrey on 127 for 5 after 54 overs before a draw was agreed at Taunton. Just 21 balls were possible at Cardiff, where Glamorgan and Essex settled for a stalemate. In Division Two, Lancashire also drew against champions Durham.
