Togo: Three and a Half Months Later, the New Government Is Still Waiting

The Togolese people are still waiting for the formation of a new government, after the resignation of the former team of 2 May. The resignation took place on the eve of the swearing-in of Faure Gnassingbé as President of the Council in the context of the transition to the Fifth Republic, still contested by part of the opposition and civil society. Two marches against the power took place in June, and a new one is planned at the end of the week.
