CCTV captured the fall, and drivers and passers-by rushed to help before the child was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A one-year-old boy remains in a London hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling 14ft from an upstairs window in Gillingham, Kent, on Sunday.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:10pm at a flat located above the Best-One convenience shop on Woodlands Road in Twydall.
Drivers waiting at traffic lights at the junction of Woodlands Road, Cornwallis Avenue, and Canadian Avenue jumped from their vehicles to assist the infant.
Paramedics treated the child, "who was reported to have fallen from a window of a property", Kent Police confirmed, while detectives interview neighbors in the area.
"Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing," a police spokesperson said, as officers continue examining the scene behind the shop in Gillingham.
