Police Officer in Custody After Toddler Brings Loaded Gun to Michigan Daycare

- Detectives took one of the toddler's parents into custody; the parent is a police officer from a neighboring department, and authorities are investigating the other parent as well.
- Disenrolling the family to ensure safety, the center wrote, "Although this incident was out of our control, we are very proud of our staff and especially the teacher who responded so quickly."
- Reviewing the case with the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, the Canton Police Department stated, "The Canton Police Department wishes to assure the community that there is no ongoing threat associated with this incident.
