To the editor: DEI didn’t go far enough

On Thursday last week, the deadline passed for opponents of Ohio’s Senate Bill 1 to collect enough signatures blocking the enactment of the new state law. The campaign gathered 78 percent of the over 248,000 needed signatures. But it wasn’t enough, and S.B. 1 became law the next day.
