- During the stone-pelting, Taluka Narasimha Raju sustained head injuries, and Superintendent Nachiket Vishwanath Shelke subsequently took youths into preventive custody Sunday after police vehicles were damaged.
- Appealing for calm, Amzath Basha asked police to release youths not involved in antisocial activity, while Government Whip Madhavi Reddy urged residents to ignore "the evil designs of the antisocial elements."
- BJP State Madhav appealed to the State government to control the situation, as tensions had intensified ahead of Hanuman Jayanthi celebrations and following unresolved proposals regarding the junction's naming.
